Have successfully worked in the development, marketing, and management of over 20 condominium communities, numerous apartment communities, plus retail spaces in King, Pierce and Thurston counties. All properties marketed have been successful for the developer.

My experience comes from a direct relationship working with the developer and marketing the portfolio they acquired and or built.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

J. J. McCament’s career includes work in the fields of real estate, economic development and education. In January 2005, JJ and long-time colleague, Raelene Rogers, formed McCament & Rogers LLC focused on real estate consulting, sales and marketing.

Ms. McCament joined the City of Tacoma in April 1999 as a loaned executive from Weyerhaeuser Company, later taking a position with the City. As a member of the City of Tacoma’s Economic Development Department, J. J. was responsible for recruiting market-rate multi-family housing to downtown Tacoma, providing assistance to commercial developers, working on the new Tacoma Convention & Trade Center and Marriott Courtyard Hotel, and organizing the first Tour of Urban Living.

Prior to her involvement with the City, J. J. worked for Weyerhaeuser Real Estate for 14 years in the area of master planned communities. Her assignments with Weyerhaeuser Real Estate included serving as General Manager for Northwest Landing, a 3000 acre planned community south of Tacoma that includes residential, retail, office, and industrial development. She supervised planning, construction, sales and marketing, legal, financing, design review, and formation and operation of the Residential and Commercial Owners Associations. J. J. co-led the recruitment of a $40 million State Farm campus, Intel’s 185-acre research and development facility, and served as Weyerhaeuser’s representative during the construction of an $18.6 million interchange on Interstate-5 to serve Intel’s facility and the planned community.

Ms. McCament was also involved in Weyerhaeuser’s Jack Nicklaus golf course community of Snoqualmie Ridge, 25 miles east of Seattle. In 1998 J. J. handled land sales to residential builders, managed the annual advertising campaign and sales center, and supervised architectural design review. J. J. was a key staff member in recruiting single- and multi-family residential builders and closing a record-setting $30 million in land sales in 1998—enough for 550 single-family homes, apartments, and condos at Snoqualmie Ridge.

Ms. McCament’s experience also includes working for the Tacoma-Pierce County Economic Development Board and Pierce College, Tacoma, WA.

Areas of involvement over her career include management, master planned communities, marketing and sales, environmental clean-up, industrial revenue bonds, business recruitment and retention, and vocational education.

J. J. is an active member of her community and serves as a KeyBank Advisory Board Member for South Sound, a Trustee of the Pierce County Library System, a fellow of the American Leadership Forum, and a former member of Rotary Number 8, Board Member of the Better Business Bureau, Northwest Housing Development and the General Advisory Board for Clover Park Vocational College. In August 2002, J. J. was appointed by Governor Gary Locke to a six-year term on the Washington State Board for the Registration of Architects.
